I started in this business over 40 years ago, and right from the start, I took a different approach. What it's really all about to me is hearing the stories of people's lives, getting to know their situation, and staying in the loop of all the changes and achievements they make. With this relationship, I know what insurance is really best for the situation, and I can give input just as a trusted family member would.

I'm both an independent agent and a broker. That means I can find you anything you need in the universe of insurance. I have access to the whole spectrum of companies and specialty insurers, for both personal and business. Pretty often, because I have four decades of experience, I can instinctively line you up with what's right for you. Other times I'll work the phone and Internet for hours to get the answer that's exactly right. All that matters is that you get what you need and what works best for you.

Tom Sawyer has been with Eagle Harbor Insurance since 2005, and has recently been promoted to associate broker in our agency. Tom is deeply embedded into the community, and being acquainted with most of the people on the island, sees people as neighbors and friends, not just clients. Rita Riley has been with Eagle Harbor Insurance since October, 2007 and is a licensed property and casualty agent. She has been in the insurance industry since 1981 and has experience in both personal and commercial insurance. She provides support to the producers and looks forward to getting acquainted with each of you and serving you with warm, personal service.

Rita has recently returned to the Northwest from Laguna Beach, CA with her family. Rita’s roots are in the Northwest. In addition to her two daughters, son-in-law and two grandchildren, her mom, six sisters and their families all live in the Seattle area. Rita lives on Bainbridge with her daughters, son-in-law and grandchildren.
